Weymouth Beach Donkeys.

Channel Island Day Trips.

Day Trips to the both Jersey and Guernsey leave once a day with times varying depending on the tides. The hop across the channel takes just over 2 hours to Guernsey and 3 and a half hours to Jersey. Pre-booking is essential on the Condor in the Summer months as we head to the beatuiful islands.

Sailing.

With the Olympics fast approaching, the Academy provides a great way to get out on the water and experience sailing first hand.Sail Laser offer a range of two-day and five-day sailing courses for adults and children.

If you don't fancy getting wet then then head over to Osprey Quay anyway to watch the windsurfers, kitesurfers and sailors, and if that sounds like too much there is a lovely bar and restuarant on the waterfront of the Portland Marina called the Boat That Rocked

 

 

 

Haunted Harbour Tour.

For those with a strong constitution, and a wish to discover the more chilling and grisly aspects of local history and folklore, why not join the ghostly walking tour of Old Weymouth town?

They visit the more macabre sites in Weymouth and Melcombe Regis, and tell you about the legends of the local Inns and Alehouses, murders, and other long forgotten tales of history. Many of these locations have had reputed haunted happenings and sightings, and they reveal these stories from local folklore, personal recollections from our tourists, and recently discovered archived material, which will excite you, and open a whole new view of this seaside town for you to explore.

Farmers Market.  
Second Sunday of the Month | Westham Bridge

The Best in Dorset Farmers Market delivers exactly that every second Sunday of the month to Weymouth.

Some of the finest food in the country is produced in Dorset and this market gives you access to the farmers, the bakers and the cheese makers.

On offer is an array of wild and wonderful preserves to take home and remind you of Dorset every morning. More information about the producers and dates can be found on their website.

 

 

 

River Cottage - Spring into Summer.  
5 - 6th June 2010 | River Cottage HQ, Nr. Axminster

If your around this June why not spring into this Summer in organic style. River Cottage HQ are opening the Park Farm gates to visitors to tour the smallholding, nature trail and livestock and horticulural goings on. There will be workshops, demonstrations, organic food galore and best of all lashings of beer and cider. The event costs £13 for adults, kids go free and can be booked on the River Cottage site.
