Cheats Picnic at The Nothe.
The Nothe Gardens | Weymouth
Where to buy food: Loose Moose or Picnics.

A great spot for a quick picnic in Weymouth is the Nothe Gardens. Right next to the Old Fort built in 1872, with open gardens and fantastic views over to Portland you'll feel miles away from the bustling town.

If making your own sarnies sounds like too much effort then pop to the 'Loose Moose' or 'Picnics' for freshly made, tasty baguettes. For yummy Dorset pastries and cakes, the traditional bakery 'Sally Lunnes' will always remain my favourite in the town.

Close to the Nothe is the Newtons Cove promenade with great views over towards Portland.

The Perfect Picnic.
Various Locations | Weymouth

Where to buy food: Blagdon Fruit Farm, Weymouth Farmers Market.

What better way to enjoy the Dorset countryside than to pack up a summery picnic? Freshly picked strawberries en-route with Dorset Clotted Cream and you already have the ultimate recipe for a lazy afternoon in the sun!

The Weymouth Farmers Market on the second Sunday of each month sells fresh bread, local cheese, meat, preserves, fruit and veg and wines that will contribute to a great picnic that will be remembered.

The Blagdon Fruit Farm in Chickerell has an adundance of fresh strawberries ready for picking, a mornings haul will provide the perfect way to round off your picnic. With that hefty dollop of cream!

Now the food is sorted there are plenty of ideal spots to host your picnic, personal favourites include White Horse, Ringstead, or Tyneham Village.
